Sometimes inspiration just strikes us when we least expect it. Maybe it was while shampooing your hair in the shower, or when you were taking your dog out for a walk. But then when you want inspiration to strike it can be difficult to find, no matter how much you wash your hair. Follow are four simple tips to help you get inspired when when you want to, not when you are not prepared for it.
motivation can be both extrinsic and intrinsic. Intrinsic motivation is something that comes from inside your heart and soul. Extrinsic motivation is something external or outside of you. At some point your intrinsic motivation may be enough to continually propel you to grow and reach and achieve but everyone appreciates a little extrinsic motivation, as well. A pat on the back, a congratulatory hug, a Hershey’s kiss, or a nice warm bath are all effective extrinsic motivators. It doesn’t have to be something big!
Identify and write down the number one MOTIVATING reason why you want to get in shape. Why am I emphasizing “motivating”? Well, this is because most people want to get in shape for the obvious reasons (lose weight, burn fat, improve health, etc.). Although those reasons can be motivating, and they of course are very important, most of us need that extra “push” to make us want to stick to something.
Join a group. I’m in two different inspiration al groups. One is a mastermind group and one is a book writing group. Each one provides watch my streams, encouragement and accountability. I accomplish more because I have others around me to share the journey. I also know they’re going to ask about what I’m working on, which is the additional inspiration I need to get things done.
Every time you complain about ‘the rich’ or ‘the big guys’ you’re telling your subconscious you’re not part of those groups and don’t want to be – gee, think that might hold you back a tad? If you’re always dwelling on your bills and poor financial status you’re undermining your own self-image – an important aspect of your motivational capacity. If you’re daunted by huge projects that are looming on your horizon or by to-do lists that seem to go on forever, take a look at the NLP technique of ‘chunking’ and get over it.
I believe that in the home based business industry this is not getting enough attention. People are losing interest and becoming demotivated because the emphasis in the industry is on the “self”; my lifestyle, my travel, the way I want to spend my time, I do want to earn big bucks fast.
