Motivation and inspiration- two terms that determine your destiny. You hear many people speak about how motivated they are. Some tell you they need some inspiration. That they went to listen to public speakers, they read a book, or attended some religious session searching for some inspiration. These two terms determine your success of failure in life. People say that successful people are motivated. The great artists, great men of old, or those who break all societal limitations become an inspiration to us all. Is motivation what lies in between all these great feats? Is it inspiration that makes things happen?
We might do something because we like it, because we must do it, or a similar reason. However, with important things in life, most things are things we MUST do. And we must do them even if it creates discomfort in ourselves. Being motivated in this case might be harmful. It erases our musts. It creates comfort and doesn’t oblige us to do what we must do. However, if you’re feeling pretty bad, motivation can be a pretty good weapon. It can lead you and help you maintain the mindset to complete a task. If you’re feeling down, being motivated can be a lifesaver. So, when should motivation be used?
As mentioned earlier, a strong compelling reason could be a strong motivation for you. With no bridge behind, only marching forward and a nothing to lose attitude can be a big motivation for you on the back.
