Factors You Should Take Into Consideration When Having Your Office Cleaned

You might be surprised, but studies have shown that office cleaning can lead to greater productivity in not only yourself, but your entire workforce. A clean environment stimulates the brain and focuses ideas. This is from an esoteric perspective (though it has been shown to be true). From a practical perspective, a clean environment is an organized one. You can get more work done when you have to spend less time looking for the tools you need. Granted, if it has been a while since the last big clean it can look like an overwhelming job. It doesn’t have to be, however.

Protect yourself and your property. Make sure your cleaning company is properly licensed for the work they are doing. If they are bonded, you have further assurance that you will not suffer a loss at their hands. And never hire a cleaning company who can’t show you proof of insurance.

This, of course, is the biggest thing you should look for in any office cleaning company. Unfortunately, you’re not going to find an objective rating system on their website. No company’s receptionist is going to answer the phone and say, “Oh, we’re okay…for the price…” Therefore, you have to do a bit of research. If a company has been in business for any length of time, though, you should be able to find some reviews. Look through those reviews. See if anyone you know is using a crew in their place of business and what they can tell you about them. Get names from customers, rather than from a directory.

Ask how the cleaning company will handle your issues or requests. How will you know when the issue is resolved or the request is completed? Make sure they have a clear procedure in place to assess, address and follow up.

Waste basket. We tend to think that throwing garbage in the trash can is enough to get rid of it. But our minds are playing a trick on us, because the trash can is inside our environment. It will become a place where bacteria grow unless we clean it regularly. For this purpose, you can use a cleaning spray too, but make sure you use a different wipe than the one you used for your desk.

Yes, white office chairs do have their place. It is figuring out where that place is that is the problem. Oh wait a minute? How about a wedding? Items there are expected to be white, right? I am not sure a white office chair would be entirely appropriate, but at least they would be comfortable. Much nicer than those back biting wooden things they call folding chairs. All you would have to do is rent them for one days use, like many other matrimonial necessities, and let someone else worry about the food stains!

Because you have to spend so much time doing marketing and administrative work, most small business owners in service fields can only bill 22-23 hours of their time each week.

You should find that the biggest cleaning companies can handle all of your requests with some notice. And there is no doubt that having a cleaning company that can grow with you is an essential part of a successful business. So choose your cleaners carefully now and you will be set for the future as well.
