The question of which is best, a website or a blog has a different answer today than it might have a few years ago. As the saying goes “the more things change the more they stay the same”. This holds true when discussing the differences between websites and blogs.
This is a perfect example on how do Feedback make money. I have a post that compares two mail programs. In that post, I’ve had readers insinuate that I prefer one over the other since it delivers me a greater affiliate payment. Although that is not accurate, there’s no method to defend that accusation. It does show that some buyers don’t think they’re able to trust the opinion of a blogger who puts affiliate links in their weblog posts.
Keep everyone informed. This is actually the easiest part when it comes to your online reputation. Most online review sites will allow you to take ownership of your review page so that you can receive email alerts whenever something changes. Make sure all the decision makers get copied on these alerts immediately, it will bring a lot of urgency to the process. And when changes or communication is made, cc the decision makers again so they know what’s going on. The worst thing that can happen is the owner get a call and not be prepared for it.
Most affiliate programs will give you an affiliate website (sales page), banner or link to advertise. If you decide to advertise the affiliate program website you can not add or remove items from the website. Creating a blog and linking to your affiliate website gives you more control over design and content.
Your pay, as a professional freelance blogger, depends on the payment that you negotiate for yourself. The pay you can demand depends on your blogging experience your writing experience your ideas and most of all online blogs on your confidence in your skills.
Now that you have your list of blogs you are ready to start contacting blog owners and asking them if they’re interested in having guest posters. In your e-mail explain that you have some great articles that would work great with their blog. Ask them to e-mail you back for more details. Not everyone will respond but those who do will be interested. I like to e-mail about three blog owners a day so I don’t get overwhelmed with responses. Make it a habit of doing this and you should be writing guest posts in no time. Just remember when you’re writing your post that you are offering really good content. The better the content the better the response you will get from the readers.
Blogs are a fascinatingly simple, quick, and cheap way to create revenue online. There is essentially no risk involved and there is no overhead, apart from hosting. You can simply set up a free blog, put AdSense on it, and post whatever you want. If you follow the guidelines above, you will soon be on your way to residual income.
